The Name Necklace

_on7

I am sure most of you who watched "Sex and the City" know about the "Carrie necklace", the cute, delicate golden necklace she was so attached to. Ever since then, I always wanted a necklace with my name to wear it proudly, it would made me feel somehow unique, even though I am sure I share my name with others out there; but you don't see many wear necklaces like these the way you see Zara or H&M hanging around one's neck.
The lovely people over at One Necklace contacted me and were kind enough to send me such a necklace. I got this model, because ornaments are my thing, I got to choose the length and the type of chain also. I didn't choose my real name because I rarely use it and I thought Lola was a great choice because it's simple and I always sign my emails with it.
You can imagine my joy when I received it (quite fast acutally) and I opened the beautiful box it came in. Now I can scratch another item from my long whishlist, hooray!

Casual, but not ordinary

_14 4

No heels, no fancy dress, no elegant tiny purse. But it's a short dress and I have bold colors and a casual statement necklace. As long as you have at least one great accessory, it completely takes your outfit out of the ordinary.
You ladies know I am right.
We sometimes say that we take a break from heels and wear flats instead, well, let me tell you that I am craving for anything else now, except those flat shoes that almost killed my feet. They were too tight. And of course when you first try them on and walk a few steps in the store, they feel perfectly fine. Yeah.. not these. Luckily I have other pairs I get along with very well. Sometimes I am lucky, sometimes I am not. That goes for every type of shoe out there, my feet are strange.
And I am wearing a Zara necklace paired with a random dress found long ago in a thrift shop. Who says they don't match and who says you should wear brands from head to toe? I find that really ridiculous, for sure.

Sophisticated thoughts

_127 3

I am not one that looks elegant and proud even when a wonderful day turns into a crappy one. Although I try to be, I think it works better in my head than in reality. In any case, that image of a strong, sophisticated woman with an expression that says "I'm too good for you people and yet I accept you in my world" has always been haunting me. Perhaps I've seen too many old movies or have a huge collection of old Hollywood's glamorous actresses that have the exact same attitude I mentioned. Even so, I like to pay special attention to my outfits and dress up fancy, not just for the sake of special occasions. There are also days in which I don't give a single thought and just dress up in 5 minutes and that's about it.
Speaking of the lack of spohistication, I am about to go thrifting and hopefully I will find some treasures. If not, I will be sad for the rest of day.
Oh come on, I am not that superficial.

This Easter morning

8ji 1

 Happy Easter people!
How are you celebrating? For me, it's basic: relax, eat a lot of food and traditional sweets and then just activate my "lazy-mode" for the rest of the day. Even though this is not my favorite Holiday, it's still a good excuse for me to procrastinate and keep my day dreaming up to date, so to speak.
I am wearing THIS beautiful chiffon dress I just received from TB Dress, in green, naturally, because it goes so well with my hair. In fact, it was the color that attracted me. I also love the simplicity of it, the fact that you can wear it both in daytime and at special ocassions during the night, if you accessorize it properly. It's easy to wear and just simply so comfortable!
I hope you're having a great time surrounded by your loved ones, ultimately, that is the most important thing, right?

Pijama shirt - part two

131 6

Dots again, not so tiny like the ones you saw in my previous post, but still, a lot of them, and this time they really stand out. I've had this shirt for a while and I just couldn't wait to wear it, the fabric's silkiness is just splendid! And the price I payed for it was simply outrageous - that is why we love outlets, right?
I could've gone with heels, but I chose flats instead, I think they look cuter. And I had a lot to walk that day. And it seems I am very much in love with my denim jacket. Too bad the weather has turned and it's not warm enough to wear it anymore. Honestly, it feels like a sort of Autumn now.

Pijama shirts - or not?

wqe5

I received this blouse not long ago from Sheinside and this is not the first time I am wearing it, but it is the first time it appears on this blog. When I had to choose from a lot of other blouses I was reluctant at first because I am not one to have a passion for teeny-tiny prints such as these. Dots, flowers, hearts, stripes, whatever, not a fan, they made me think of pijamas. Instead if you show me huge beautiful prints (preferably in crazy colors) on..anything, then you win me forever. The fact is, I don't know exactly what made me choose this blouse, perhaps the color, this minty green I will always adore, and the bow on the neckline, so feminine and elegant, I have a thing for those. I am happy with it, this is one of those exceptions I gladly accept, ha! And I am quite stubborn.
Worn with neutral or pastel pieces and it fits perfectly. Red will do too, but not very bright ok?
And I got to wear my new shoes I adore so much! It was one of those wonderful days when you find something beautiful (like...from ASOS) in an outlet store at a price so ridiculously low that just simply screamed: "BUY US! YOUR FEET WILL NEVER BE HAPPY AGAIN IF YOU DON'T TAKE US HOME!"
So yes, I suppose that would've been true.

Wearing flowers, because it's Spring!

s17

Lately I've been enjoying this season as much as I could. I am looking now at three beautiful lilac bouquets that are proudly sitting on my desk, eating tons of sweet and strawberries, laughing with beautiful people and enjoying the little things. I missed posting as much as I am missing a certain person, a certain holiday or some random activity I used to have, but you know how time is and how scheduling conflicts (between my main photographer and I) can be painful.
In any case, I am here now, showing off my new Zara jacket I got from online shopping - yes that is correct, Zara Romania has an online shopping site now; I am also proud of my new shirt the lovely people over at Sheinside sent me. The minute I saw that big beautiful print of amazing flowers, I knew it had to be mine. Needless, to say, it is so light and the colors match so many other stuff in my wardrobe, because well, that is the first thing I am looking for when shopping - color match, with not just one piece, but as many as possible.

Take care guys, and hopefully see you soon!
