Places to see: Corvin Castle

corvin castle9

I was so excited for this one day trip, because I wanted to visit the Corvin Castle from Hunedoara, Romania, for a veeery long time, but since I don't own a car, getting there can be a bit difficult, the city appears to be quite secluded.
If you follow me since the beginning of times, you know that I am fan of everything that is aristocratic, castles, old mansions and such. See here my article featuring Peles Castle from Sinaia if you want to convince yourself.

After 3 hours, we finally arrived in town andguess what? It started raining! Surprisingly, that didn't let me down, by the time we finished visiting the interior, the rain stopped, but on the bright side, we entered the castle for free! A family walked towards us and they probably saw my excitement while shooting some photos outside and gave us an invitation that granted us free access, which was very nice of them!
So while I was taking dreamy princess-like photos around there, trying to find spots less crowded by tourists, my dress was filled with mud because of the rain, of course, and I had sand in my shoes just like in true medieval times, right?
Even so, I was happy I got to visit the castle, it's quite lovely but not very opulent, of course, there is no such thing during Medieval times, everything was much more austere, if you ever have a chance to visit Romania, be sure to check out this place, it's filled with history.

  3. Wow, the castle looks so lovely and you look like a Medieval princess! How nice of that family to give you the tickets for free! It's so refreshing to encounter people who seek to give with nothing in return. Back to YOU, I love that dress and how you paired a yellow belt with it, such a brilliant, subtle way to color block. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you're having a great day so far!
