My kind of Winter

colorful winter3
It's been too long since I posted an outfit post, I missed those days when I had free time and lots of new clothes to play around with and also an available photographer pretty much all the time.
But you know, life gets in the way, job hours stress you out and everybody is busy. Now Christmas is coming and everyone is hectic with preparations and gift shopping.
My moods have been swinging from extremely festive to a somewhat nostalgia chill, don't know exactly why, perhaps a feeling of "getting older" that will surely pass. But this weird feeling kept me from feeling..inspired, which I totally hate.

I am wearing here quite a basic Winter outfit for me, I love this chromatic mix - the navy blue and marsala are working together beautifully, and this is pretty much what I have been wearing this season, a mini skirt hidden under a fine tailored coat, a blanket type of scarf (this one in particular is very soft and keeps me really warm) either heeled boots or over the knee simple ones, and a beret too, forgot it at home unfortunately this time and trust me, my ears were frozen and sore, it did not feel nice.
This is my kind of outfit for Winter, quite chic, as I like it!
Now tell me, are you ready for the holidays?

Another year at its end

00 11 4

It seems Winter decided to come after all in my hometown. I woke up the other morning and I saw snow, everywhere! I am currently out of town, there is no snow here, but the temperature has dropped considerably, I really am not used to it anymore, it feels strange.
And it also, feels a bit uneasy to think about how fast another year has just passed, tomorrow we will be dreaming of new opportunities, new changes to make or if you're like me, you'll think about what new things to buy in the near future. I am kidding, I am not that much of a spender (I hope so).
In other words, I don't have a typical "what to wear on New Years Eve post" because I really haven't decided what to wear yet! I have to make some appetizers first and then think about what to wear - I think I'll go for something casual this year, not feeling very fancy, but who knows.

So, I wish you a very Happy New Year, loads of fun and I hope I'll see you in 2016!

Into the blues

00 1

Hello everyone, how was your Christmas? I hope it was peacefull and filled with laughter as it should be. Mine was pretty much ok, apart from still being shocked of the exceptionally warm weather, it was quite relaxing. I am still indulging in ginger bread cookies and grandma's cakes and I don't think I'll stop soon.
Do you remember the last time I collaborated with the guys over at One Necklace, when they sent me a name necklace? Well, this time they just made my Christmas a lot more sparklier, because I received recently a golden ring with my name on it. You can order it from here and of course, you can put the name of your own choosing. Don't you just love personalized jewelry? I adore the idea, it just makes you feel special, so guys, this can be a perfect gift for any lady.
Plus, you can add the code wonder10 and you'll get 10% discount.

'70s vibes

05 2

I'm back in my hometown for Christmas! I am also on vacation from my job (two weeks, yay!) and maaaan, it feels so good to know that I won't stress out and just enjoy life, even though I have nothing exciting planned. I'll just read and skate and spend time with closed ones, which is just about enough right now. These are my latest photos I took in gloomy Cluj before leaving - I really can't believe how much sun is here, it's shining like in mid Summer - I opted for a 70's retro outfit this time. It all started with the hairstyle, as I had no idea how to style it in that day so I just made a messy braid and though it was ok enough. This reminded me of my mother, because she used to have long beautiful hair and she wore it in low ponytails or braids and she also grew up in the '70s, so, there you go - double inspiration! And I just loved how all these colors matched together in such great harmony, wouldn't you agree?
Gotta go and decorate the Christmas tree now, actually the whole house, so exciting!

Autumn's end

ri5

This past weekend has been rainy and really gloomy, which was disappointing since I really wanted to test out my new camera outdoors - one I am still learning to use - so, the weather turned on me right when I arrived downtown. A cold rain was waiting for me, I was all elegant and I just had my hair done and I was also carrying a heavy camera in my bag; it was all peaches and cream. A failed weekend from this point of view.
Anyway, we managed to test it Monday morning while I was still sleeping in my heels, but at least I had my results, and I am quite pleased. I wished we had more time to explore more options, but I am just getting impatient here, there is plenty of time in fact.
On other news, I saw the final "Hunger Games" film, it was exciting, a bit scary in some parts, a bit predictable and a bit hollow. I loved the action - mind you, I didn't read the books - but I disliked the ending, it just didn't feel right, it didn't convinced me at all, and I hate that, I hate it when an ending isn't satisfactory. But I made a cake that day and at least that was satisfactory.

The weather is turning cold but I hope you'll have a sunny, positive week! I am tempting myself to try baking some macarons this week. Fingers crossed!

It's getting warmer..

46 1

Looks like someone or something listened to my wishes and made the weather much more warmer. The sun is shining, birds are singing (I haven't heard those sounds in months!!) my optimism improved and all that's missing are the flowers and new shoes for Spring!
No, no, I must behave myself if I really want to save money for vacations (this is so dull and a bit sad, because you have to sacrifice some things for other amazing things - hopefully).
Until then, let's pray no more snow will come and let's dream of pretty dresses, read new books and watch Game of Thrones like crazy (the obsession got me too).

 Have a great week guys!

I wish Winter could go away already

iuliu (35) 5

As I am writing this post I am listening to THIS SONG. Remember it? I used to dance like crazy on that song. And it may or it may not relate to this outfit, but it's called "Lady" and well, I do look like a vintage lady I suppose, thanks to that pencil velvet skirt and the cape. Too bad the cold weather got into our bones that day and we couldn't take too many photos or make happy faces. Oh, when will Spring come? I am tired of winter clothes, mainly of coats that hurt my back because they are so heavy. Do you get that too or do I really have issues with back pains all of the time?

Valentine's Day came and went and even though I said I won't probably do anything, we went out and had a fancy dinner (I did, he ate pizza) drank a bottle of white wine and even made room for dessert! I love dining out in fancy places, it makes me feel cozy, maybe I was an aristocrat in a past life, ha ha.
Now I am listening to THIS and dancing in the chair - don't imagine that, it's embarrassing.
It seems I am in a mood for 2000's music. That was a good year. And I was just 10 years old.
