Autumn's arrival

autumn arrival4

Oh boy, when did it became Autumn? Sometime between my chaotic change of house and some drastic weather changes, like doomy rains and cold nights and I was too busy to notice.
As Autumn came, so did this lovely coat, or rather, dress-coat, because it just feels and looks so feminine!
It's made of a thick fabric, similar to brocade, but much more softer and warmer, unlike the shiny version you see on the website. It won't keep you warm during the Winter at -15 degrees Celsius, but for warmer Autumn days it's just lovely! And of course, those colors are just perfect for this season! I could camouflage in an abundance of fallen leaves and no one would notice me.

Keep warm guys and enjoy the colorful nature, it won't last long!

Vintage dream

vintage dream3

Man, I can't believe it's September already. I have been so busy finding myself a new place to live, that I completely lost track of time and social media.
Yesterday I managed to just relax for about 5% and go out in the evening and try not to think about "Where am I going to live?" or "I am completely homeless!" but let's not turn this post into a pathetic one.
Let's talk about this dress instead! It's in a retro 1950s style, even though it is not actually vintage, but I am sooo pleased that nowadays I can find this vintage style dresses online and at a fair price! All you vintage lovers know that to find a historical piece of clothing really takes more than an effort.
I love this particular dress because it has such a nice volume and because of that it looks so feminine and elegant and you won't even believe how comfortable it is! What do you think about this style?

I hope you had a lovely weekend so let's focus on having a great week as well!

The secret rose garden

rose garden4

“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.” ― Frances Hodgson Burnett, "The Secret Garden"

Well now, isn't that the truth?
I knew about "The Secret Garden" for a very long time but only recently I got the chance to read it and after I finished it, I found myself enchanted by the idea of finding a secret place which you can take care of and no one knows about it but yourself. It's a really lovely book and I recommend it to everyone really.
Now, the main attraction of this post is obviously, the dress, which I bought in early Spring I think and just couldn't wait to wear it! It deserved some proper pictures that needed to involve a dreamy scenery, a garden full of roses and splendid warm weather. The book inspired me and got me excited for this photoshoot, oh, you have no idea!

Luckily enough, my friend found this lovely little corner in a place which at first appeared to be a lonesome backyard, but out of the bloom, there were these jasmin trees and roses all over the place and I thought "This is just perfect!"

I don't know about you, but I am absolutely in love with these photos - and the dress, of course.

Hope you like them!

Chic picnic

chic picnic4

How's your weekend going so far? We are having a wonderful weather here, just the perfect time to go out for a barbecue or a picnic, which is what we did the other day!
I won't take credit for the idea, but I will take credit for all the appetizers I made, I was so proud of that! You know that moment when an idea is planted in your mind and you just want to do everything you can to make the best of it? Well, that is what I did; I searched for picnic food recipes, I stressed myself to find the cutest picnic basket - I bought the last one, I think it was waiting for me!
So, yes, I can turn the smallest thing into something grand, or a big mess if I'm loosing my patience or I give in to frustration.

It was fun and creative and that is something I really enjoy! I made finger food of cheese, cherry tomatoes and light ham, we had smoked salmon with cream cheese appetizers, some blue cheese, mozzarella, slices of avocado, olives, almonds and fruits and I also made a wrap with lettuce, sliced cheese and ham, this was so creamy and delicious! We ate everything in 5 minutes and then we sat on the blanket until the sun was gone.
I guess it could've been more relaxing if the park was less crowded with people, but next time, we'll make it even more grand and we'll invite friends and make it fun!
I hope you enjoy the photos!

How do you guys feel about picnics?

Vintage Sunday

5475 3

I was so excited when I took these photos in spite of the cold weather outside, you wouldn't even tell it's Spring, but at least we have daffodils! I was excited because I was waiting to receive this adorable sweater for a month now but it was worth it! I mean, I am loving the quality and the tiny pearls sewn on it; it's such a nice detail that creates a romantic, feminine outfit and you know I am into that all the way!
Isn't it lovely how the earrings match the sweater and skirt perfectly? They have pearls (not real ones unfortuantely), they are vintage and they really stand out just the way I like it! I have so many cool stuff for Spring I can't wait to wear and style, my imagination is thriving, if only the temperatures could rise already!

 Have a great Sunday guys! 5475 5 5475 8 5475 6 5475 4 5475 5475 2 5475 7

Summer's end....not!

jt5

Tomorrow may be the first day of September but it certainly does not feel like it.
The scorching heat came back while I was browsing websites for boots and trench coats, so I guess I have to play along for a week or two more, but it's fine; I went to the pool for a swim and took long walks during the evenings and savoured some brilliant ice cream - the perks of Summer.
I leave you to this simple set of photos we made yesterday in the last light, now I'm off to do some errands (except that I don't want to because it's 2 P.M. and it feels like stepping into a hot oven - pray I won't suffocate.)
