Classic old tartan

reds0

It's been a while (again), this is starting to become a habit, one that I do not like. Disappearing from the online world is not a necessity for me, it's rather happening because time is not enough for me to actually browse around the big old Internet. I barely have 6 hours to sleep, 20 minutes to eat, and about 5 seconds to breathe - an exaggeration, but you get the point.
Adult life is not a pink dream.

Did you notice that tartan print is having a come back? Or maybe is it just me and it was in trend for many seasons and I just opened my eyes now. Anyway, I saw this skirt and my first thought was: "This actually does NOT look like a table cloth" - I usually get that idea in my head when I see tartan, checkered prints and such.
I just loved the fabric and the colors and also the design - that front zipper really turns the skirt one step into the modern world. I did not mean to make that sound so dramatic though.

Anyway, I am very late for work as it is, let me know your thoughts on this outfit, how would you wear a tartan print item?

Vintage dream

vintage dream3

Man, I can't believe it's September already. I have been so busy finding myself a new place to live, that I completely lost track of time and social media.
Yesterday I managed to just relax for about 5% and go out in the evening and try not to think about "Where am I going to live?" or "I am completely homeless!" but let's not turn this post into a pathetic one.
Let's talk about this dress instead! It's in a retro 1950s style, even though it is not actually vintage, but I am sooo pleased that nowadays I can find this vintage style dresses online and at a fair price! All you vintage lovers know that to find a historical piece of clothing really takes more than an effort.
I love this particular dress because it has such a nice volume and because of that it looks so feminine and elegant and you won't even believe how comfortable it is! What do you think about this style?

I hope you had a lovely weekend so let's focus on having a great week as well!

Summer's end in color

off the shoulder blouse6

My oh my, Summer is ending and  I am not rooting for Fall at all! Although we registered crazy hot days in September as well, but not for too long, the evenings begin to feel more chilly and confusing.
I am still clinging onto colorful outfits, hence the crazy printed skirt and why also not add another pop of color, like a bright red? Everything goes, so there you have it!
I got this top not long ago actually, for those who don't know, I am now obsessed with off the shoulders blouses and if there are ruffles involved, then I'm sold! I am fully committed to this trend and I hope it will never die!
How do you like this style of tops/dresses?

By nightfall

culottes and pleats5

It's only Wednesday and I'm already thinking of the weekend. Somehow this week is running much slower than usual, even though I am running around town with different errands and doing the occasional photo shoots.
In a way, I wish the time could pass slower, because I am not ready to say goodbye to Summer just yet. I've already noticed the Fall collections in stores and that just depresses me a little and the funny thing is that I remember a few years back how restless I was this time around and I just couldn't wait for Autumn.
Anyway, this is what I wore on Saturday evening when the weather was still hot and actually much more pleasant during the night time. A somewhat retro outfit, topped with that vintage micromosaic bracelet which has become one of my prized possessions in my vintage collection.
How do you like it?

Romantic retro look with Zaful

zaful rose dress

I hope you are having a great weekend so far! I started out editing these photos and it only took a few hours and one bad Internet connection later to post this article, in a way it took forever. But I am hoping you love the result!
I got this beautiful organza dress form Zaful recently, I just thought it was perfect for my style and perfectly wearable during the daytime, it also has a retro feeling to it which I love. I wanted to make photos in a special place and this lovely medieval looking building was perfect for my background. It's one of my hometown's museums and the lady there was nice enough to let us use the garden for my photos.

The secret wine bar

jazz sax classy bar3

Happy Monday everyone! If you are not a "Monday person" like 89% of Earth's population, then keep on reading this post, maybe you'll feel inspired or leave with a smile on your face.

Have you ever encountered a place that was capable of charming you so hard that you couldn't just not think about it for days or weeks? Such a place is here in Cluj, I can't take the credit of finding it, but ever since I went here for the first time, I was struck by this simple idea: "I need to take photos here!" It is too beautiful not to photograph, not just for me, but I really wanted to show it to you as well.

This gorgeous place called Sax, it's a jazz wine bar, so you can only drink wine of all kinds, the bottles are exposed on two big walls and the offer is outstanding, so it can be a little overwhelming if you are not an expert in wines - much as myself. The kind gentlemen who run the place will tell you the story of the wines they offer and make suggestions according to your preference. Pretty classy, right?

The idea is that this place is quite secret, I can't tell you where it is, apart from the fact that it is located in Cluj, Romania, if you are in the city, you can visit their Facebook page, give them a call, make a reservation and ask for the entry password. Yes, there is a password - I told it was secret!
The fact is that the owner wanted to create this place for private gatherings and while they did that, they wanted to offer a taste of their wines and music (oh, their jazzy music is just a true delight!) to other people as well. Therefor, gradually, people started to find out about this place from mouth to mouth, much like the old folk tales, and that is something I find to be so cool!

Scroll down for more photos and I hope you will be charmed as I was!

They even have a little terrace filled with flowers, such a gem right?
Aren't the furniture and decorations amazing? Every little piece was refurnished and there are so many tiny details that can get your attention, you just need to look. The style is so glamorous and the colors! Aren't the colors just enchanting?

And you can't even imagine how lovely it is during the night time, when both rooms are filled in a romantic mood with dim light, it just feels really cozy, as if you are visiting a close friend's home.

If you are a vintage and jazz lover, this is a place you simply cannot miss!

Hope you enjoyed this article as much as I did creating it.
