New Year's Eve Look

new years eve outfit

Christmas came and went in a glimpse, as it does each year and I hope that you all had a fantastic and joyful time surrounded by your loved ones and most importantly, that you received a lot of presents!
Can you believe there are three more days left and the year is gone? I was thinking that it felt like yesterday I watched Episode VII of Star Wars, but I actually watched Rogue One a few days ago - those who watched them both will know that a whole year separates the two films.

But look at me, talking about Star Wars in my pretty silk velvet dress, instead of thinking of all the good and positive moments from the past year. Speaking of pretty dresses, I though if giving you an idea of a New Year's Eve look, based on my on personal preferences, of course. Surely, since velvet is a huge trend this season and one of my favorite fabrics ever, it was natural that I would pick this dress as my favorite for this occasion! I love the color (which is actually less blue in reality) and the draping, it just looks so feminine and elegant, I really felt for it.
I got it at a local tiny shop in my hometown, I wouldn't have minded if it was a dark green, but this color works great with my hair color too.
Topped with some delicate golden accessories with pearls because it really doesn't need much and let the party begin!

If I won't see you in the next three days, then I'll return in 2017 with fresh new forces!

Happy New Year guys!

New Wonders

asda asda2

I am so proud of my new acquisitions! But let me tell you about those blazers.. After I finished my last exam, I went for a coffee with my colleagues and after we each went home in our direction and in my way I saw this quite huge sign on a clothing store that was a second hand which said: "1+1 FREE!!!" Just like that. So I barged in, I saw that olive wool coat (which is big, but with some alterations it will look great) in a splendid shape and then I saw that burgundy velvet blazer which fits me PERFECTLY!!
I rushed to the register and I payed something like 4 Euros for one of them and the other was FREE! I was so proud, I exit the shop with a huge smile on my face as if I won the lottery.
And the shoes... those adorable shoe in a marine green color, I have no idea how to categorize it, they came a few days ago from MiniPrix.ro, but they are actually from the brand FullahSugah - which of course it isn't physically commercialized here. And just look how amazing they are with that blazer!
I can't wait for a Spring to wear them!
Tonight I am gonna party with the girls from Uni and in a few days my hometown and my mother awaits me! Wohoo!

A hint of color

zas6

These were taken yesterday as I was shopping for the New Year's Eve party - which will last for three days. I'll be leaving for a few days just like last year, somewhere isolated and hopefully there will be fun days ahead.
I am wearing here a skirt my mother used to own (note the use of the past tense) It is perfect for something simple in my opinion and for this cold season.
So tell me...what are your plans for New Year's?

Dreaming in glitter

Untitled-1

No outfit post today..same issues as always..
Howeveeeeer...I have this image dancing around my mind lately and that is of a party outfit, but an outfit perfect for the Winter Holidays.. and when I think of this, I think of glamour, of glitter and sequins, holographic prints even! So, I browsed around the Internet for inspiration and I find the best dresses on TopShop as you can see. These are my favorites (especially the black one from the right in the image above), now if I had a treasure chest (or two..okay, three) I would buy all of these and even more, but for now I am just happy staring at them. This activity really makes me feel cozy inside..Is that weird?
Anyway, tell which is your favorite! Or where would you wear them? Untitled-2 Untitled-3

See you soon and keep on dreaming of Christmas! Such little time left!

P.S. "The Hobbit" was an incredible experience! My heart was in my throat the entire time, go see it NOW!

We invite you at a tea party!

tea2  Friday, was Mina's last day in town so we wanted to make a fuss out of it, so we decided to make a little tea party at the beautiful Infinitea. I haven't been there before, but I think I will go more often because the place simply enchanted me! The salons are so beautifully arranged, the furniture is old and the decorations in perfect balance with the place, but the minute you step into the back garden, you forget that you are in Bucharest, but in a piece of Heaven. Nature, fancy chairs, lovely atmosphere and of course delicious tea and cookies! We had a blast for sure, I am positive the pictures speak for themselves.

Bucharest Style Anniversary

bs7

Friday night I went at the 2nd Anniversary of Bucharest Style, our very popular street style fashion blog which took place at Fratelli Espresso Bar, the same place I had my exhibition last week. At the event, the girls relaunched their site, with a brand new design, celebrated their work with their guests and they made this lovely video in which I along with other two fabulous girls took part in, you can check it out HERE
As for the evening, it was very nice, a bit too crowded and we had to yell at each other to maintain a conversation, the dress code was bows, bow-ties...anything with bows, this is the girls trademark - and I chose to wear a headband with a little bow. We drank cocktails and I chatted with loads of people, took photos and just enjoyed the company of my blogger friends. Also, I went back home with some goodies from Oriflame.

Here I am with Raluca, one half of Bucharest Style, and below , Silvia - the other half.

Party outfit

Ok, so this is the outfiot I wore to the party I went on Saturday, I opted for "all velvet" and the red-green contrast is definitely my favorite! I know the pic is not super, but it was so crowded and few photos turned out great. But I had a great time!\
I was wearing my thrifted blouse and self-made pants which I adore and black simple heeled boots.
Hope you like!
