The elegance, refinement and luxury of Art Nouveau

first (2)

Every once in a while a girl dreams of being a princess in her own castle, isn't that right?
I had the opportunity to be in that posture not to long ago at Peles Castle, which is now a National Museum. In my opinion it has to be the most beautiful castle in our country and to be able to take part of this special project meant the world to me. I was asked to be a part of a photoshooting which promotes a very elegant exhibition starting from September; this exhibition consists of beautiful items from the Art Nouveau period (which I personally love the most) and also celebrates 110 years since the inauguration of Pelisor castle, residence of King Carol's heirs.
I am thrilled of these photos and naturally, I was amazed by all those rooms, the exquisite items and, of course,  the luxury!

I will always go back and think about the privilege I had and forever be grateful to the people there and to myself for starting this blog. Because without it none of this wouldn't have happened.

Palacio da Pena

Hello darlings! As I said I went yesterday at Palacio da Pena, a palace so beautiful it reminds me of Disneyland, it´s like a candy on top of a mountain. Situated just above Sintra municipality, it was the home of many monarchs of Portugal since the 19th century, and it has one hell of a beautiful view!

It´s mainly built in the Romantic era but with lots of other foreign influences and of course in specific Portuguese architecture.

We weren´t allowed to take pictures of the interiors so I searched some on the internet, and these are just a few.. One room lead to another and you could't believe the beauty of the wall's paintings and decoratios, the amazing detailed furniture and curtains and the freezing air inside those walls! Trust me when I say it was gorgeous there!
