Classic old tartan

 

 It's been a while (again), this is starting to become a habit, one that I do not like. Disappearing from the online world is not a necessity for me, it's rather happening because time is not enough for me to actually browse around the big old Internet. I barely have 6 hours to sleep, 20 minutes to eat, and about 5 seconds to breathe - an exaggeration, but you get the point. 

Adult life is not a pink dream. 

 Did you notice that tartan print is having a come back? Or maybe is it just me and it was in trend for many seasons and I just opened my eyes now. Anyway, I saw this skirt and my first thought was: "This actually does NOT look like a table cloth" - I usually get that idea in my head when I see tartan, checkered prints and such. 

I just loved the fabric and the colors and also the design - that front zipper really turns the skirt one step into the modern world. I did not mean to make that sound so dramatic though.

 Anyway, I am very late for work as it is, let me know your thoughts on this outfit, how would you wear a tartan print item?

Denim Glamour

 

When did it became Fall I wonder? After my short holiday to Rome, which seems like ages ago, I got so caught up with the reality of the world that I forgot how fast time passes by and here we are, at the end of September and me, still longing for beach days and cold lemonades. I still got the Summertime sadness it seems.. 

These photos were taken right after a huge storm passed by, luckily, I took shelter in a cafe and no harm was done (to me at least). The light was so dim and I thought we would never manage to get a satisfying result, so it took me a week or so to decide to publish these images. The weather has been horrid since and I think it might've been the last time those white shoes saw the light this year! 

How about these "mom jeans" ? - yet I bought another pair! The fit of these jeans really struck me and what better way to add some glamour to them than pearls? I thought it was such a nice touch, I couldn't resist them!

Grey layers

 

 How's the weekend going? We are having quite a grey one, it's foggy and cloudy and I seem to dress accordingly without intention though. I recently got this woolen vest because I thought it had such a nice design and it also keep me very warm, despite the cold outside. You can create all sorts of outfits, it's quite versatile. You can wear it with mini skirts, pencil skirts, jeans, culottes, flare pants, sweaters or shirts, it's so fun! Of course, I thought that my new necklace from Happiness Boutique would fit perfectly in this outfit, wouldn't you say?

 Got to go now guys, I have errands to do, on a Sunday, yes..

Blueberry and peaches

 I haven't worn this skirt in a very long time, but I thought it would go very well with this tiny sweater - I am saying tiny, because it only reaches your waistline and I think that's perfect for high waist skirts/pants. Not to mention the color... it's great contrast to the skirt's deep navy blue, that's the reason I choose it. Seeing this outfit put together made me think of fruit flavoured candies, wouldn't you agree? (I realize that I often think of sweets when I am looking at certain clothes..)

Whiteout

 

 Aren't we having the loveliest weather these days? I love that I can still wear sandals and at the same time I also love that the evenings are chill and I get to wear a light jacket too.

 So here I am, strolling with pride as I just cut and colored my hair, in my Roaring-something '20s dress. It's retro because of the low waist line and it's modern because of the fabric's texture and it also has a bit of more volume than a typical 1920's dress. I love it and I know this design has mixed reviews amongst people - not your usual type of dress - but it has a special something to it and that's priceless to me. I could've gotten away with a statement necklace, but I really thought it didn't need it, so just a few touches of golden accessories here and there compliment the dress very well in my opinion. 

I have to pack my bags as I leaving tonight out of town to attend a wedding on Saturday, oh I bet it's gonna be fun and tiring at the same time. I'm gonna be a bridesmaid!

Cyanide sun

 

 A quick post to show off my new hair color and to complain about how my shoulders got burned thanks to the lovely Sun whilst walking arund all day through the city with my cousin. I guess that what happens when you don't use SPF lotions. 

Anyway, my cousin from Portugal came all the way here for a short vacation and I showed her around all the lovely places here in Cluj as much as I could, because tomorrow we are going out of town for the HIM concert (trying so hard not to scream again) for a few days. 

So, as you read this we are probably on the way there and oh boy, stay tuned, I will be back with photos from there. I bet it will be great!

Another street style look

 

 I can't believe July is almost at its end, which means that two thirds of this Summer had already passed. When did that happen? 

But no matter, I am not utterly excited that my cousin is coming to visit from Portugal and - haven't seen her in years, it's been far too long - and pretty soon we will be screaming together in amazement at the HIM concert (I wanted to see them in a live concert since... forever! I am so excited about this, can't believe it's actually happening!)

 Now about the outfit, just a simple silk top but with a gorgeous statement print paired with a basic pair of high wasit jeans, for a cool, relaxed outfit for a walk in the city. And if we are walking casually, we are wearing espadrilles - mind you, my first choice was a pair of high heeled sandals, but somehow I changed my mind. It was right of me to do that. Long walks are not suited for heels.
