New in: stripped culottes

 

 We're having a wonderful pre-Summer weather here in Cluj, so it's time to wear easy-breezy culottes and light tops! I feel so great in these pants, they are so comfortable and they look so good, I wish I could have culottes like these in every color and print!

 I chose to wear golden accessories, because this is my thing right now and you don't need much when you have a bold print on you such as these thick stripes, it gets enough attention as it is.

Places you can't go to

 

 You know what I hate most about old people? The fact that they are so narrow-minded. Most of them are, you can't deny that. I am sure that some of you experienced a never ending conversation where you try to make your grandmother understand your own point of view or to persuade your grandfather to be more flexible when it comes to, well..this century. 

Family is family, but I got the lovely "privilege" to come accross an elderly stranger. You see, I found this lovely courtyard where I decided to take some quick photos and not to make too much of fuss, so I won't bother someone. Well, that was a total failure, as it took about 2 minutes and a woman started shouting at us to go away as fast as possible or she'll call the police. Uhm....what? Was I really tresspassing her own private courtyard? Was I stealing something? When we tried to explain the reason why we were there, she started yelling even harder and continued her idiotic threats. I left only because I knew it was pointless to argue with the old hag and I decided to look for another courtyard, more..flexible, where I could swirl around at peace.

 I was soo annoyed mainly because I had more fun ideas for photos in that place that I didn't got a change to make. I guess I should be thankful that she hasn't made any commentaries about the way I wore my shirt - that would've been the cherry on top! 

It's a scorching Summer out there, you gotta let the skin to breath as much as possible, right?

Silk love

 

 I spent these last few days with my mom, who came for a short visit to see me and the city; it's been lovely, I can't remember the last time I spent walking around so much around the city. We did a lot of sight seeing and I also asked her to take some photos for me in this gorgeous neighbourhood with huge old mansions that she felt in love with, just like I did when I first saw them. 

And of course, she brought me all kinds of goodies, we ate delicious cakes, pastries and ice creams, I even found this gorgeous silk shirt from Zara in an outlet thanks to her, because I wasn't in the mood to do any shopping that day. But when I saw this shirt, I couldn't resist it! 

 Our weekend was relaxed and even though it rained a bit, we still enjoyed our time the best we could. I hope you had a great weekend guys!

Simple pleasures

 

 I've been thinking of both lavish and modest things that one can have in a life time. Of course, we all desire to have and to offer more and more and we sometimes feel tiny and useless when we don't accomplish what we wished, but we can also feel gratefeul and happy about the small pleasures than can happen unexpectedly. Like a warm sunset that can create beautiful colors in an Autumn landscape. Or a soft, cashmere cardigan that really keeps you warm during the annoying cold days. Or a piece of a delicious cake, one you never tried before. 

Not that I've become philosphical in the past week, but I had days when I though about my accomplishments and my failures ( I suppose being in your mid twenties gets you to think more and party less) and I also had days when I was simply too busy to think about this blog, but when I finally tried to edit these photos, my PC decided to breakdown (Karma maybe?) 

 Not being very active here doesn't mean I'm not social or ignorant. I read blogs, I look at trends, I analyze things. It's just my priorities have changed a bit. Rather than staying glued to the PC all the time (my job requires me to gaze at the monitor for 8 to 9 hours per day) I prefer to focus on myself when I get the chance. 

Alright, enough rambling, I have a job to attend to.

 Have a positive end of the week and enjoy everything life has to offer you - even if it seems insignificant.

Sunset Avenue

 

 I wasn't even sure I wanted to publish these photos since I never intended to make them for the blog, they were just for the sake of that beautiful light, but I am quite fond of the result and after some hesitation I decided to show them to the world. So it took me about two days to edit the photos and to decide to post them, because somehow I never found the proper time to really finish the task. Sometimes, the passion for blogging diminishes and I start concentrating on other things; but after a while I begin to miss all the activity that comes with it and I start focusing again. Do you ever feel like that? It's strange...sometimes I loose my motivation and I want to end it, but I immediately reconsider, so in the end, I am not at all near that point. I know I will regret that choice.

Classic, simple, basic

 

 Sometimes wearing the basic outfits when you have no idea what to wear anymore, is the best option. And if you include some cool accessories that stand out, even better! Speaking of which, I had some vintage clip earrings with me and by the time I got to make these photos I took them off because they were killing my ears. Midway through the photoshooting I realised I left my earrings in my bag and I did not had the time to remake all the photos I made up until that point. And I was so disappointed because the earrings were so pretty... 

Next time I will try to be more careful. I was even about to loose my sunglasses and the sweater I had with me that day too. 

The weather is shockingly beautiful this week and I can't wait to go outside and enjoy Autumn!

The floral pencil skirt - a jewel

 

 I will always say that a pencil skirt with a floral print (the bigger the better) and in color, is a statement piece in any wardrobe.

 Looking at these photos makes me think that I need to find more skirts of this kind and start making a collection, haha.

That being said, I am taking off because I am already running late to a meeting.
