That very chic jacket

1136

Beige and blue again, I know, but I just couldn't resist the texture and color of this beautiful elegant Sense jacket I recently got. I think I could've bought one in every possible color, but this nude one goes with so many colors, especially blue, haha!
I'm having such weird feelings this season, but mostly I am glad Spring is properly installing here, flowers are blooming and the sun is warm enough to make you drink your Starbucks cofee - with almond flavour of course - on a bench beside the lake, gazing at people and ducks - how very old, but soothing. This is pretty much what I would like to do all day when Spring comes.
I wish I could be my cat now - napping in the sun with no care in the world.

The edgy-chic girl

jj6

 Long time no see eh?
Well, to tell you the truth it took me some time to let the comfortable feeling sink in, the adjustment to a new neighborhood, a new apartment needs need a few days and I am now happy to say that I am ready for new beginnings!
Speaking of which, I just bought that lovely little jacket from an outlet; I have developed a little obsession with this type of jacket, that classy tweed texture that reminds me of Chanel, and now I can finally wear one with pride. I decided to wear it here with my leather pants and a simple pair of ankle boots with no heel to create an edgy cool look in a great contrast. Of course you can wear it with high-waisted circle/pencil skirts too.

Have a great Sunday guys!

Leather skirts are a must-have item!

ooo2

There are so many ways you can wear a mini leather skirt, it's so versatile and such a statement piece that can go with sooo many things. From romantic-edgy looks with floral blouses or lace cropped tops, to fluffy sweaters for the fall and to the rock-chic outfits where you can mix studded tank tops, loose graphic T shirts, boots and so on. I chose to wear it more casually with a silk asymmetrical top in one of my favorite colors, to make a contrast in both texture and color, a pair of simple sandals that also stand out through their color.
And who said you can't wear layers during Summer?

In the cold light of day.

I promised you photos with my latest design soon, but you have to wait a little more, because some last minute stuff popped up and I had to take care of them. These are photos I took at University at the mercy of my friend. I've had a few days off from courses, to work on my graduation collection, so I haven't really got the chance to find a photographer and take outfit shots. You know I prefer to take them when I am outside and not fake them and dress up as something for 10 minutes and then go back inside. It feels weird. I don't know about you, but it just doesn't feel natural to me. I started this blog with the idea to record my daily outfits, what I wear in certain locations and events, so I am going to stick with that.
I watched the Oscars last night, it was broadcasted live, here at abput 3 AM , so I stayed up pretty much all night watching pretty dresses and try feeling the moment actors feel when they walk up that stage and take their award. You know, I have mentally composed my Oscar speech even though I do not plan on acting any time soon, but just for the fun of it. Please tell me I am not the only one..

Yep, there is still some snow here, actually it's very dirty and..wet; it's very annoying, you can't imagine how filthy my shoes got when I got back home.

The day was warm, too warm for January if you ask me, but it was beautiful, so Andreea and I wanted to take some photos for our blogs, afterward we went through clothing stores and saw too many beautiful things impossible to choose from, and we ended up with just a huge list of "what is necessary for my wardrobe to buy" (which is everything)
Okay enough dreaming and sighing, I have to get back to some work, so no lazy Sunday evening for me.
See you soon!

I proudly present to you the most exquisite coat I have! Yes I like to brag sometimes and who wouldn't when you see this beauty? It resembles a lot with the designs from this amazing brand called Desigual and I remembered how much I wanted to have something from there, and a few weeks later I saw this coat and it was about 5 times cheaper! How could I not buy it? I seriously need more stuff with mixed patterns and textures like these.
Nothing much is happening except that I am working on clothes again , and projects and I am trying to ignore the stress of the deadlines and exams.
Now I am off to see The Nutcracker ballet show :D
Hooray for the weekend! ^^

Fall's favorites

The weather is so gloomy outside, it won't stop raining, because of that I couldn't take any photos, so I would like to indulge you - and myself, with these. These are a few of my favorite designers this season, and I gathered photos, creating my perfect fall outfits. As you can see, I am crazy about color and mixing textures. I just love the way wool or cashmere looks with soft sheer garments like long dresses or skirts. I will definitely try this look, can't wait ! Let's begin with ADAM:

..continue with D&G; just look at those prints! Both Christmas-y and Summer-y.

next Jean Paul Gaultier:

And Kenzo...

Ralph Lauren...

And Rodarte; the Mulleavy sisters are two of my favorite designers of all time. With every collection they just daze me!

Let's not forget Alexander McQueen's last collection, that could be categorized in Haute Couture. It's divine!

Have a great weekend!
