The unknown coat

3922 3

Let's talk about brands! I started thinking about how saturated the streets are with popular brands like Zara, Stradivarius, H&M and such, the moment I bought this navy coat. Don't get me wrong, I love Zara and H&M, I have many items from their collections and sometimes I have the urge to buy an entire collection that's how much I love their designs, but certain pieces are just EVERYWHERE and that is what annoys me the most.
I just always want to have this special sensation of feeling unique when I am wearing something I love and that doesn't happen very often. However, I when I was out with my mom in town, just browsing around for random stuff, my mom actually saw this coat and she insisted that I should try it on - get this, it was the last one and exactly in my size! - so if course, I couldn't resist the design, the cut, the color and how well it looked on me so I had to take it, so this is all her fault!

If it weren't for her, I would have never entered that store, you know why? Because it's not a popular store, it's just a shop that sells clothing in all kinds of styles, mostly office, slightly boring, then you see a modern and yet retro coat like this one! I mean, there are so many surprises in little shops like these and I know we young folk mostly avoid them because they are not popular and most of us want what everyone else has - I really don't get that.

So this coat is made in Ukraine, I barely found the brand on the web, you can check it out HERE if you want, but the site is in...Ukrainian, of course.  They seem to have some pretty cool designs though.
Oh and the boots, they are from Giulio, manufactured in Italy, they are made of leather and the quality is awesome, again, I found them in a random shop and I also found a website HERE. I see you can purchase them online, but unfortunately they don't have that many models.

So, in conclusion to this long post, don't avoid random shops, sometimes they can be more expensive than Zara TRF, but you can find so many awesome stuff that can make you feel a bit different than others, because they don't have a mass production so there are only a few pieces in certain sizes, thus the chances of running into another person on the street, wearing the same outfit as you, are much more slimmer.

How do you feel about these so called "random brands" ?

Ups and downs

777 8

I've been away from the blogosphere for a while, not that I didn't care to enjoy inspiring posts because I do see and analyze them, just that I didn't felt the need to be a part of all that for a bit. I wanted to stay in the shadows, thinking and rethinking my choices, my life, this blog. We all have our ups and downs and I am sure you get the feeling. If not, then you must be the happiest person on this planet. Ever.
So you all know about that moment when you decide to go on a shopping spree when you're feeling down. If you don't, it's called shopping therapy. And it's bad. Really bad. If you don't control yourself, you buy all kind of stuff you actually don't need, but they do make you feel better in that moment. Luckily I controled myself. I only bought some jewelry and I browsed with great boredom through all the sale items and nothing caught my attention except for this dress I showed you on Facebook a few days ago. I loved the cut and the unusual fabric and I really can't wait to wear it in the Summer. The dress is from Mohito, I brand that I seriously never heard of before and I realised the store opened just recently here in Cluj. They really do have great, sophisticated and modern collections and I really am glad that I found a new store that it's different from the overrated Zara, Stradivarius H&M and so on.

Soft greys with a splash of red

ry6 4

I hope you are all having a great week so far; as you can see the weather outside is quite friendly with us despite of the cold, but sunny days give me a positive energy even though I don't have big plans to fulfill throughout the day, I am still pleased.
Today am showing you an outfit that revolves around my new cardigan from BeYou. You might remember I collaborated with them in the past and this time they were kind enough to contact me again.
I chose this particular cardigan because I felt it is elegant enough to wear it in formal wear, like at the office and such and it can also embelish a more casual outfit. You can wear it with pencil skirts, bodycon dresses, jeans and boots, with a belt around the waist or let it be free. I just love the assymetrical design and it may surprise you, but I loved the color as well. I just needed something grey in my wardrobe because it is a neutral color that pretty much goes with any other color - especially red tones!
What do you think?

Round and around we go

por7

When I first saw this type of coat HERE, I instantly melted and thought to myself " I really need this in my life NOW!" The truth is I've always dreamt of such a silhouette, and as much as I searched for a coat with this design, I was never satisfied. Until one day..
The coat is made by Potocaliu, a lovely new Romanian brand by Cristina Bucur. For this coar I chose a bright vegetal green (even though in the pictures looks different) and let me tell you, I would like one in all the colors in the world! I love the shape, I love the fabric, I love the feeling I get when I strut among people, I love the elegance and the femininity of it...to me, it's just the perfect coat!
So, sorry Andreea, for having similar outerwear and yet again, thank you for letting me know about this brand! ;)

The basic white shirt

bas5

Everybody needs a white shirt in their wardrobe, right? You can create a whole bunch of looks starting from it and with the right accessories it really turns from a casual look into a modern, elegant one. I needed a fresh white shirt in my life and luckily I have found the perfect one at Be You, a youthful Romanian brand. I was attracted by the by the natural fabric and the transparency of course! It's simple, basic, soft to the skin, just what I needed!
I decided to create two looks to show you how versatile this shirt can be, this is the first one, an example of how you can wear it on a daily basis. Paired with some matte leather shorts to create a contrast in textures, wooden sandals and a natural fiber necklace, just to complete the "I love nature" look. What do you say?

Toata lumea are nevoie de o camasa alba in garderoba sa, corect?

Introducing Dahlia's magical dresses!

dhl5
Let me introduce you to this wonderful lace dress I have received from DAHLIA, a British brand started in 2000 by two wonderful fun girls! When I was contacted by them, I got very excited , because I knew about the brand, and I've always craved for their clothing; so I was excited for any kind of collaboration. As soon as I received this dress, I imagined a green scenery, a field, a forest, anything that was not urban related, because it is so fun and yet romantic to walk around with a special someone and gaze the sunset on a picnic. That is what this dress inspired me to do.
