Urban chic

8 4

After an enchanting post with dreamy places and romantic images, we go back to the city and on our way to enjoy a small cocktail before ending the evening with an open air symphonic concert - gotta love cultural cities, so many things can happen.
Before grabbing a bite and explore the new pub in town called Submarine - check it out whenever you're in Cluj, the design is AMAZING - we took these photos while the light was still with us and I think I insisted too much because we almost missed our reservation. But hey, I can't stop until I have the desired results - any blogger would say the same thing.
As for the outfit, a flapper dress, a statement blazer and some sparkly jewelry and you're good to go on a night out in town. Not too complicated but still, noticeable. ;)

Cooler than the red dress

she7 4

Remember this song
That is the first song that came into my mind when I saw these photos, haha - narcissistic much?

I had this beautiful dress from Sheinside for a while now and I couldn't wait to wear it at this wedding I had to go the other day. I especially loved the back, that was the first thing that caught my attention, then there is the color (it also comes in black). What I was anxious about, was the length, I am not necessarilly a fan of ankle length dresses, I think they look kind of funny, and even though I measured myself, I thought, "oh well, maybe it will still look good".
This is how I wore it for the wedding reception, with a massive statement necklace, red lips - of course - and a hairdo that gave me some head aches while making it myself.

I look like a lady now but picture this: standing in that dress in front of McDonald's waiting for my ride, eating french fries with ten pigeons around me - even I laughed at the situation. Classy right? At least they ate from my hand, which was cute enough.

As I told you in my last post, I went at our fashion department graduation gala, which was a success! I should've posted these pictures sooner but I've been in a complete chaos packing and moving from my apartment and finally, as I returned in my hometown I got a chance to look through the photos. It was hard to make a selection, I know it's tiresome to watch so many photos in a blog post, but I selected here the collections I found most interesting and innovative. Let me know what you think!

Preview of one of the major fashion events in Romania!

galauad5

Yesterday evening I had the pleasure to attend the UAD Gala, meaning our very own fashion students presented their graduate collections just like I did last year in Bucharest. I must say though, the differences between the two events (even if they intend to be the same thing) are so big, I just couldn't comprehend why is it so.
First, there is the location, which was a hotel so glamorous, so grand, so amazing which provided another important thing: the space - huge space, everybody could attend and had a seat! Then there is this feeling of an important event, and it actually is in our country, since you get to go there based on invitation only. And there were journalists, photographers, TV personalities, you know..the important people.
Everything was beautiful and very well put together. From the stage, to the lights and the collections themselves, I was utterly amazed by the whole event. Plus, I got a very great spot to take pictures, but I will show them soon enough. For now I leave you with some of the backstage ones and a sneak peak of what you are going to expect from these marvelous students.
