Visiting Timisoara

 

 I am back from a short but amazing trip to Timisoara! 

The reason we went there was for the HIM concert I told you about in my previous post. For me it was a dream come true, I remember falling in love with this band since I was 15 ,I guess, and I have been dreaming to see them live ever since. Ten years later, that finally happened. I don't know how to describe it the moment they came in on stage, it was surreal, super emotional and somehow, it felt as if the whole concert lasted only 20 minutes. 

It was exciting and euphoric as always, so when we had to leave the city the next day, I felt anxious and sad as if I was leaving behind half of my life. I am sure some of you get the feeling. 

 We shot this first set of photos in the Roses Park, where the concert took place, it was suuuch a lovely place, so romantic and dreamy, it felt like I wasn't in the city anymore. From there we walked around exploring the city and I fell in love with all the cozy narrow streets, all the green parks and huge vilas. The big streets and squares reminded me of certain parts of Bucharest, so I can say that Timisoara is a big city with grand old buildings and filled with so much history! Too bad certain parts of the city where in construction so we couldn't took photos there, but maybe there will be a next time. There were so many streets and places where I found myself saying "I would love to live here" and that surprised me. Too bad the city is so far away in the West, so it takes a lot of time to travel from there to...anywhere else in the country.

Cyanide sun

 

 A quick post to show off my new hair color and to complain about how my shoulders got burned thanks to the lovely Sun whilst walking arund all day through the city with my cousin. I guess that what happens when you don't use SPF lotions. 

Anyway, my cousin from Portugal came all the way here for a short vacation and I showed her around all the lovely places here in Cluj as much as I could, because tomorrow we are going out of town for the HIM concert (trying so hard not to scream again) for a few days. 

So, as you read this we are probably on the way there and oh boy, stay tuned, I will be back with photos from there. I bet it will be great!

Urban chic

 

 After an enchanting post with dreamy places and romantic images, we go back to the city and on our way to enjoy a small cocktail before ending the evening with an open air symphonic concert - gotta love cultural cities, so many things can happen. 

Before grabbing a bite and explore the new pub in town called Submarine - check it out whenever you're in Cluj, the design is AMAZING - we took these photos while the light was still with us and I think I insisted too much because we almost missed our reservation. But hey, I can't stop until I have the desired results - any blogger would say the same thing. 

As for the outfit, a flapper dress, a statement blazer and some sparkly jewelry and you're good to go on a night out in town. Not too complicated but still, noticeable. ;)

While in Bucharest..

 

 I've been away these past few days and I took a little break from blogging and everything else related to the Internet and I have to say, it felt quite good. 

So while I was in Bucharest I managed to : 

 1. See Jared Leto perform, loose my voice and went deaf for a few hours after the concert - it was energetic and amazing, yes!

2. Eat all kinds of sweets, from huge frappes to smoothies and cheesecakes. 

3. Visit IOR park and saw a rat cutting our path - frightening moment indeed 

4. Buy the top I am wearing because I realised these pants did not match anything from my wardrobe. 

5. Realise that I am starting to miss less and less this city. 

 Don't get me wrong, I miss my friends over there and certain beautiful places, but to get to those places, you have to pass other "obstacles" so to say, like using the not so pretty subway and perhaps another bus, passing through creepy people and suffocating crowds, and all this hassle it's way too time consuming and certain parts of this city are just simply ugly. 

I think I refused to see all of this before, but while living in Cluj for the past two years, my vision has changed and though I am not certain where I want to live for the rest of my life (if it were by me, I would just travel all around the world) my attraction for this place has diminished considerably.

But I will still visit it from time to time, naturally.

 

At least I was wearing colors and prints, hooray!

Back from Felsziget Festival

Alright darlings, excuse my delay, I only managed to get the photos today from the Festival I went, I didn't took my camera with me but in my opinion the photos turned out great, at least the ones from the concert. It was brilliant, Within Temptation is one of my favorite bands, Sharon sang beautifully, and it was the typical insanity of any concert if you are familiar with them. So, I had a great time and I am looking nostalgic at these photos right now..

Rock in the City

Yesterday I went to a little festival that is happening here where young rock bands are performing and also a few Romanian more known bands, speaking of which, tomorrow will be performing my favorite so maybe I can snap some photos. Of course I dressed according to the "occasion" so to say, I took out the adolescent in me and wore all black and studs and I felt great! The only thing that was missing was a pair of Gothic leather boots but, hey..it's summer!
I wish my cousin was still here with me, but she has returned to Portugal (how I wished I could jump into a suitcase and board on that plane!) You can see her in the last photo, I will miss her dearly.
