Looks for Autumn

romantic autumn

I am hoping you are all doing well and you are keeping yourselves warm wherever you are.
Here it's currently raining and it's simply horrible, but at least we had good weather during this past weekend, which is why I was able to dress lightly in this chiffon dress which is actually more suited for Spring, but we can adjust right? It's all about styling.
With a pair of ankle boots and a suede jacket, that is older than myself, and I think a neck scarf would've been nice too, you can't go wrong, right? This jacket almost did not make it in this photo shoot, because I thought I lost it last week, or rather it was stolen from me, but I managed to take it back without too much effort, thank goodness!
Picture that you're traveling dead tired from one city to another by bus and you wake up even more dead tired at the destination without your favorite, 35 year old vintage jacket that belonged to your mother. I wanted to set everything on fire at that point, I was so angry and sad at the same time, but it took a few phone calls, two days and a whole lot of hysteria and I was reunited with my beloved jacket! You can imagine that I will treasure it even more after this experience.

Chic picnic

chic picnic4

How's your weekend going so far? We are having a wonderful weather here, just the perfect time to go out for a barbecue or a picnic, which is what we did the other day!
I won't take credit for the idea, but I will take credit for all the appetizers I made, I was so proud of that! You know that moment when an idea is planted in your mind and you just want to do everything you can to make the best of it? Well, that is what I did; I searched for picnic food recipes, I stressed myself to find the cutest picnic basket - I bought the last one, I think it was waiting for me!
So, yes, I can turn the smallest thing into something grand, or a big mess if I'm loosing my patience or I give in to frustration.

It was fun and creative and that is something I really enjoy! I made finger food of cheese, cherry tomatoes and light ham, we had smoked salmon with cream cheese appetizers, some blue cheese, mozzarella, slices of avocado, olives, almonds and fruits and I also made a wrap with lettuce, sliced cheese and ham, this was so creamy and delicious! We ate everything in 5 minutes and then we sat on the blanket until the sun was gone.
I guess it could've been more relaxing if the park was less crowded with people, but next time, we'll make it even more grand and we'll invite friends and make it fun!
I hope you enjoy the photos!

How do you guys feel about picnics?

Visiting Timisoara

p9 4

I am back from a short but amazing trip to Timisoara!
The reason we went there was for the HIM concert I told you about in my previous post. For me it was a dream come true, I remember falling in love with this band since I was 15 ,I guess, and I have been dreaming to see them live ever since. Ten years later, that finally happened. I don't know how to describe it the moment they came in on stage, it was surreal, super emotional and somehow, it felt as if the whole concert lasted only 20 minutes.
It was exciting and euphoric as always, so when we had to leave the city the next day, I felt anxious and sad as if I was leaving behind half of my life. I am sure some of you get the feeling.

We shot this first set of photos in the Roses Park, where the concert took place, it was suuuch a lovely place, so romantic and dreamy, it felt like I wasn't in the city anymore. From there we walked around exploring the city and I fell in love with all the cozy narrow streets, all the green parks and huge vilas. The big streets and squares reminded me of certain parts of Bucharest, so I can say that Timisoara is a big city with grand old buildings and filled with so much history! Too bad certain parts of the city where in construction so we couldn't took photos there, but maybe there will be a next time. There were so many streets and places where I found myself saying "I would love to live here" and that surprised me. Too bad the city is so far away in the West, so it takes a lot of time to travel from there to...anywhere else in the country.

I hope you love the photos and I trust you had a great weekend as much as I did!

Revive the old times

ono6

I know it's Autumn in the Northern hemisphere, alas, the weather today was warm and nostalgic, therefore perfect for me to wear again this peplum lace top. I gathered more than twenty chestnuts in the park (purely for decoration) and I am seriously thinking to change my hair color into a darker shade like...chestnut. I remember having that color the first time I dyed my hair..when I was about fifteen. We'll see, I am known to change my mind rapidly.
Yesterday we went to this amazing little tea house, called Qui One Quint were I drank the most delicious tea, cookies included! When I entered the place it felt like I was in someone's home, visiting a close friend, chatting over tea. I mean..the place was indeed someone's house, remodeled, but it still had that antique feeling which I adore and I could imagine so many memories there. I hope next time to take some photos so you can see.
This city has so many fascinating and also hidden places! It's a pleasure each time to discover them.

Volatile flowers

Silky shirts are my favorite piece of clothing to wear. I love the feel of the fabric, the transparency and the way I feel in it. So, when I saw this beauty I melted at the sight of it's print and especially at the color mix - black and red, my favorite; very chic and mysterious.
I paired it today with a pair of ripped jeans which I have for quite some time and I still love them, to give a bit more of a contrast. What do you say?
