On hot Summer days

 

 Seems like the heat is back to torture my level of comfort and my skin, but no matter, I have this baggy old dress that is so loose and so comfortable, it makes me feel like I'm wearing a plain sheet of chiffon and nothing else. 

Very easy to move around as well, so I highly recommend getting this type of dresses during hot Summer days, they are a life saver!

 Seems all I have been wearing lately are dresses, but that's not really the case, although I do prefer them over shorts or mini skirts. At least until October. I hope Summer will last until then.

Two Summer Must Haves

 

 I don't know about you, but I am roasting like a chicken whenever I step outside, the weather is crazy hot! Indoors is no better, but at least my skin won't get burned. I really need a SPF 200! 

The good thing about this outfit is that these shorts are made of the lightest, softest cotton and honestly, it feels like you are walking in your underwear and sometimes in the Summer, that is all you wish to do. 

So, a pair of comfy, easy-breezy shorts like this can save you during hot days, and my other recommendation is the on going, off the shoulder tops which are so feminine and so in trend right now. Plus, you'll get a natural tan without marks around the neckline, because don't we all hate ugly tan marks on our skin, am I right?

Off shoulder blouse

I can't believe this weather we are having! I remember last April, I was still cuddling in thick jackets and boots, but now you can't even think of a second layer, it's so amazing!

I took the chance and wore this off shoulder top which I love to pieces and paired it with one of my favorite skirts ever and strolled up and down the city until late in the evening. We ate our first icecream of the year and we even got back home by foot - and trust me, my apartment is not downtown. It was a good day indeed.

I am on vacation now, currently in Bucharest and I plan on taking long walks and hopefully take some dreamy photos.

Back in the old city

 

 Yup, I'm back in Cluj until Christmas most likely, and it does feel good to be back!

 It's still hot, so it it's still great to wear cropped tops and Summer skirts; in this case, I twisted my very long blouse and fold it underneath just enough to look nice and cute, don't you think? I somewhat felt like a country girl in the big city - all I needed was a straw basket filled with fruits and flowers. Now I crave a bit for the countryside and nature, just great..

Cyanide sun

 

 A quick post to show off my new hair color and to complain about how my shoulders got burned thanks to the lovely Sun whilst walking arund all day through the city with my cousin. I guess that what happens when you don't use SPF lotions. 

Anyway, my cousin from Portugal came all the way here for a short vacation and I showed her around all the lovely places here in Cluj as much as I could, because tomorrow we are going out of town for the HIM concert (trying so hard not to scream again) for a few days. 

So, as you read this we are probably on the way there and oh boy, stay tuned, I will be back with photos from there. I bet it will be great!

Into the heat

I'm baaaack, in this scorching heat here in Cluj, one that I "love" so much! 

I was in Bucharest for Laura's wedding this past weekend and I gotta tell you, I had a blast! I was so happy for her and I really am glad I went to her special event, I got to rejoice with my lovely blogger friends and I for one, had a great time.

 It was an outdoor wedding, near a lake and I couldn't be more delighted about that - not too formal, but not too shabby either.

I returned Monday morning home after a never-ending bus ride in this incredible Summer heat that I wish it would go away soon. I'm just not one of those people who enjoy Summer, period.

In the last light

 

 As much as I hate Summer days, that's how much I LOVE Summer evenings. The contrast is dramatic and I am constantly in a love-hate relationship with this season. I was never one to stay all day on the beach burning my skin and I avoid as much as possible going out during the daytime, from 11 AM to 7 PM. But what I do love is the Summer storms, the delicious icecream savoured outdoors, the cold cocktails sipped on terraces, the late evening walks, the quiet sunsets and some outdoors activities. Also, sandals, flare pants and maxi dresses. Which gets to my point. 

We went out AFTER 7 PM, the way I like it, we caught the last light of the day and we shot these photos in my favorite super long maxi dress that I stepped on continously- no heels attached. The result is just the way I like it - my feminine side in a lovely scenery around me in a dim romantic light. What do you say?
