Casual ethnic look

etnic boho6

Looking at these photos you might think that I'm in a savanna, but the truth is that it hasn't rained in my hometown for about a month, hence pretty much all the fields are dry and turning yellow. I don't know exactly why I wanted to take these photos at edge of the town, it's not exactly a fabulous poppy field, but I guess I wanted a change of scenery and somehow that straw Summer hat fits perfectly in this arid landscape.
This traditional blouse also inspired me to choose a place less urban, even though you see this type of blouses pretty much everywhere right now and styled in so many different ways, from leather skirts, to denim shorts. What do you think about this style of blouses? etnic boho8 etnic boho2 etnic boho3 etnic boho etnic boho5 etnic boho7 etnic boho4

On hot Summer days

dotted dress6

Seems like the heat is back to torture my level of comfort and my skin, but no matter, I have this baggy old dress that is so loose and so comfortable, it makes me feel like I'm wearing a plain sheet of chiffon and nothing else.
Very easy to move around as well, so I highly recommend getting this type of dresses during hot Summer days, they are a life saver!
Seems all I have been wearing lately are dresses, but that's not really the case, although I do prefer them over shorts or mini skirts. At least until October. I hope Summer will last until then.

 Have a relaxing weekend guys!

The cardigan dress

cardigan dress4

Can you believe it it's already June? That means half of 2016 is already gone and Summer is here! Minus the occasional rains, but you know how it is.
It's time to plan vacations, time to wear light clothes and take out those sandals you bought in mid March (like I did) and indulge in at least three ice creams per day!
I was excited to take out these sandals from Zara, but let's get this straight: they are incredibly beautiful and of course, that comes with a price: the level of comfort wearing them goes down to almost zero. I knew that before buying them, but I didn't care. Beautiful things can be painful.

To the cardigan, I took it thinking I can wear it for what it is: a cardigan. But I realized that it can also be turned into a casual Summer dress and don't worry, those are not my underwear, it's a pair of lace shorts - rest assured, I am not that bold  careless.

What do you think about this type of cardigan?

Bohemian

52 7

I don't know how, but this type of Summer cardigan started to grow on me since this Spring. I like how light they are and how it gives a certain kind of bohemian touch to the outfit and if they have floral prints, well that is even better!
So it's perfect for a nice stroll in the city or in the park, for festivals and beachwear, it goes amazingly well with shorts or your regular skinny jeans, mini skirts, platform sandals or flats and even with certain bodycon dresses. You wouldn't believe how versatile this piece can be!

 How do you like it?

Is it Summer already?

41 5 I can't believe the weather outside! It's gorgeous, hot, perfect to wear maxi dresses, sandals, wedges, easy-breezy tops, you name it! I wish I could get out of town somewhere to the seaside and enjoy a good swim within the waves ( sometimes the swimming pool is just not enough). I couldn't wait to wear this dress I bought recently from an outlet shop (gotta love those); I don't know what I love most, the print, the cut on the back or the fact that it's suuuuper long even with heels! As a tall person, it's usually hard for me to find long dresses, the hemline usually reaches just above the ankle (while wearing flat shoes) and it just looks ridiculous in my opinion. Enjoy the Summer preview guys, it feels great! 41 4 41 2 41 7 41 3 41 6 41 1

The almost perfect pants

ee9320

Let's start the week in force shall we? Yeah..right, I know the feeling.
But at least wear something that can cheer you up and give you will to make it through this day, like a statement piece - and not necessarilly jewelry. For example, I finally got to wear my new favorite pair of pants I got from Zara and I felt so proud and out of the ordinary in them. The only thing that doesn't make me scream with excitement is the waist line. It would've killed them to make it higher, like it should be. Oh well..
You know, I recently started to develop a crush with this type of pants with a fine cut, interesting prints (or plain), made from other type of fabric than denim! I am once again in a "I-hate-jeans" mood and willing to burn them all. Not to worry, that will never happen, let's just say that I will hang them in my closet for a while. Also, I feel more and more attracted to this navy color I never eally payed attention to in the past. I already have two pair of pants in this color and the sandals I am wearing (which were part of my own gift for my birthday) and I am thinking of adding more items in my wardrobe in this color.
Mmmm..maybe a maxi dress - no, it's no use trying to find something I am thinking about in stores, because that won't happen any time soon, don't you agree? Usually when you want something the most, it's like it hasn't invented yet.

Glamorous at noon

lid

Does this outfit seem to glamorous for lunch? To me it doesn't. Why ask the question of I am certain of myself? I am just wondering about your what other people might think for a change, given the fact that I never consider other's opinion, since most people are so...let's just say conservative.
Let me tell you why I don't think this outfit is necessarily suited for evening parties only. Sure, that top is nude, may look mysterious and such and has lace, but it is also cropped and it doesn't always go for certain events. The shoes, no, definitely not suited for cocktails; a stiletto platform in exchange, yes. The skirt, it may look elegant, probably due to its color, but it's not sexy enough for a special occasion, at least not for me. I would've chosen another hairstyle too and a different purse.
Still, I like to feel elegant from time to time in a simple way that doesn't always include colors or bold prints. Basic pieces and the right accessories, a perfect versatile outfit!
