Classic old tartan

 

 It's been a while (again), this is starting to become a habit, one that I do not like. Disappearing from the online world is not a necessity for me, it's rather happening because time is not enough for me to actually browse around the big old Internet. I barely have 6 hours to sleep, 20 minutes to eat, and about 5 seconds to breathe - an exaggeration, but you get the point. 

Adult life is not a pink dream. 

 Did you notice that tartan print is having a come back? Or maybe is it just me and it was in trend for many seasons and I just opened my eyes now. Anyway, I saw this skirt and my first thought was: "This actually does NOT look like a table cloth" - I usually get that idea in my head when I see tartan, checkered prints and such. 

I just loved the fabric and the colors and also the design - that front zipper really turns the skirt one step into the modern world. I did not mean to make that sound so dramatic though.

 Anyway, I am very late for work as it is, let me know your thoughts on this outfit, how would you wear a tartan print item?

For the love of burgundy

 

 Can you believe Autumn is almost at it's end and soon Christmas will knock on our doors? It's no secret that I am already feeling festive and that I have a plan on how to decorate this year's Christmas so, I can't wait to start on it!

 It really feels like November outside, the weather is really gloomy, so this is our last chance to color it up a bit, even if it is in darker colors! My favorite colors for Autumn are definitely burgundy and navy blue, I feel they are the perfect match, don't you? It's no use to stay gloomy on the inside too, so there is nothing that some color and a cup of hot chocolate can cure, am I right?

Two outfits, one brand! Styling with C&A

For those of you who live in Europe, I am pretty sure you are familiar with the C&A brand, although I hear it's getting quite popular in Asia and South America too!

For any of you who don't know, the brand was born in Netherlands, currently reigning over Central Europe and its targeted customer is mainly the casual-chic woman, but it also presents menswear, kidswear, XL collections and a whole lot of accessories for any age. The prices are affordable for any budget which makes the brand quite a competitor for H&M - at least that is my opinion!

I had the chance to create two outfits, one more casual, which encloses a very fluffy and comfortable sweater and of course, my favorite trend at the moment: embroidered jeans! 

Cred ca cititoarele din Romania au auzit de brandul C&A de o vreme si probabil au si cumparat din magazinele lor mai mult decat o data, pentru ca preturile lor sunt chiar prietenoase iar gama lor de haine cuprinde o varietate de varste, de la nou nascuti pana la cei 80 ani ai bunicii mai mult sau mai putin moderne! Si cred eu ca brandul este un competitor serios pentru H&M -just sayin'!

Am avut ocazia recent sa creez doua tinute pentru ei,  dupa propriul meu gust, aici de fata avem o tinuta casual-chic, am ales un pulover pufos si super comfortabil si o pereche de jeans cu broderie care reprezinta, bineinteles unul din trendurile mele preferate!

As for my second outfit, I chose something a bit more glamorous, a sleek velvet skirt and a loose sweater with silvery thread and of course, sparkly jewelry, all from C&A.

Cat despre a doua tinuta, am optat pentru ceva mai elegant, ceva...potrivit pentru o cina in oras, iar pentru mine, avand in vedere ca este totusi sezonul rece, o fusta de catifea si un pulover cu fir stralucitor alcatuiesc tinuta ideala! Plus accesorii cat mai sparkly si gata!

...Ca o nota de incheiere, va anunt ca sambata, 11 noiembrie, la C&A puteti beneficia de 25% reducere din pretul afisat, la toate articolele! Promotia dureaza doar o zi, in toate magazinele C&A din Romania! Nu-i asa ca suna apetisant?

Warm Autumn days

 

 The weather we have been experienced here lately has been so lovely; it honestly felt more like Spring than Autumn! Although the sweater-weather began a long time ago for some of you, I refused to wear knits until now, I was not ready to let go jackets and shirts quite yet. But when I received this amazing fluffy sweater from Zaful, I could not resist trying it on! 

The fact that it is white allows you to wear it with tons of other colors and styles! What I loved the most was the colorful embroidery which makes it stand out in a delicate way - also, it seems embroidery is in trend this season too! 

 Who else is enjoying the Autumn colors as much as I do? I only wish I could spend each day in the park - like an old lady, yes.

Denim Glamour

 

When did it became Fall I wonder? After my short holiday to Rome, which seems like ages ago, I got so caught up with the reality of the world that I forgot how fast time passes by and here we are, at the end of September and me, still longing for beach days and cold lemonades. I still got the Summertime sadness it seems.. 

These photos were taken right after a huge storm passed by, luckily, I took shelter in a cafe and no harm was done (to me at least). The light was so dim and I thought we would never manage to get a satisfying result, so it took me a week or so to decide to publish these images. The weather has been horrid since and I think it might've been the last time those white shoes saw the light this year! 

How about these "mom jeans" ? - yet I bought another pair! The fit of these jeans really struck me and what better way to add some glamour to them than pearls? I thought it was such a nice touch, I couldn't resist them!

Checkered shirt and mom jeans

 

 It's amusing how this "Mom jeans" trend grew on me since I used to consider this type of jeans so old, they were the definition of "not cool" to me, I preferred either skinny jeans or flare pants, but never something in between. I guess that at a certain age you unwillingly change you style and embrace new options, I don't think I could ever wear Converse shoes with skater skirts anymore for example! So my attention was grabbed by this jeans fit and I realized that it really looks very well on my body, and what do you know?  they have become my favorite pair. How do you feel about them?

 Fun fact about the print on this shirt; during my childhood, our school uniform used to have the exact same print in the exact same shade of blue and now I see it everywhere in stores, it's so funny! in a way, I thought it looked pretty interesting and it made me feel a bit nostalgic and along with that adorable ruffle, those were the reasons that made me take it home. 

In case you haven't noticed, this checkered print is a must this season, for those of you who want to create more sporty-chic looks. I decided to try it out because fashion is fun and its's all about experiments, right? How do you like it?

Smart casual look for Spring

 

Looking back at these photos makes me wonder how can the weather change so rapidly from sunny Spring to rainy Autumn. It feels as if we skipped Summer and went straight in November. Blame it on global warming or on mystical forces, but I simply find it hard to deal with. 

 So, my attempt for a new Spring outfit inspiration, a kind of smart casual look, feels like a joke right now in my country, but I hope that the rest of you who live in warmer climates are experiencing a much more delightful time and could actually dress like this! 

 The floral print blazer is a must have for me in the Spring season, this one has quite a relaxed, casual cut, so paired with some straight pants and a simple top really gets your attention and that is the whole point right?

 Right, well, for the next week I am back to my rain coat and heavy clothing (hopefully not sweaters!) so, I hope that during this time I won't have to post an article titled "Back to Winter".
