Winter games

This is not my typical kind of post, but since I really enjoy taking these photos, I thought: "why not share them here as well?" I like skating, in fact, it's the only sport I am fond of, because it's artistic - go figures. Not that I am an expert or anything, but I do enjoy watching all Grand Prix skating finals, World championships, so whenever there's a competition, I am there, stuck in front of the TV and cheering for my favorite skaters; I would really love to see a competition live, I think the vibe it's totally different. 

So yes, this is the only sporty activity I enjoy, next to swimming, too bad it can only be done in Winter time. 

We are here on the Central park's frozen lake, the ice was really thick so you could skate all you want and the best part is that it is free! It's totally safe when it's really cold of course, I hope it will last longer so I can enjoy this a little more.

 These photos were taken about 100 years ago (that means last month) while the weather was kind of disoriented, somehow in between cold and warm, as you can see I was still wearing ankle boots.

But anyway, I am looking out the window now and I only see clouds and I also hear a cold wind blowing aggressively. Great..

 I realised I didn't get a chance to post these images and luckily I found them while organising my folders and I thought they could do just fine now. The weather feels the same, so they are still relevant. 

I arrived in Cluj a few days ago and I didn't get a chance to do much except for refilling my fridge with food, stressing out at my job and get excited about the new seasons of Game of Thrones and Mad Men. I wanted to make reservations for The Avengers next week, but I failed, because it appears to be sold out already for the whole week starting with 24th April - seriously?? That's insane. Maybe I'll find some luck soon, I reallllly want to see it as fast as possible! 

 Ok, I need to find the courage to face the cold outside and maybe take some photos, if not, well.. we're going to find another way to kill time.

 This song has been stuck in my mind for a very long time and naturally when I started to make this post, certain lyrics from it came to my mind - it feels like, to me, it has turned into this Summer's hymn. I remember two Summers ago, Lana del Rey's "Summertime sadness" became my ultimate favorite song of that season. And I love to obsess over a song.

 Leaving music aside, you might have noticed on my Facebook page how excited I was to find this little pair of shorts in a thrift shop; the fact is, I have been searching for the right kind of denim shorts with a high waist just to make my legs look infinitely long (I do so love that effect) for quite some time and I was never satisfied. Not to mention the ridiculous prices I had to pay for such little fabric - I mean..to cost as much as a long pair of jeans? - that seems absurd. So I payed less than 1 euro for these and boy, do I feel devilishly happy or what?

An Autumn Daffodil

These days the evenings are colder and the chilly wind is more often sensed. I am pretty much living in this sweater, because it just seems that it goes with everything and it has such a great color that reminds me both of summer and autumn.
I see chestnuts and acorns everywhere on the ground (which remind me of my childhood), the chrysanthemums are in bloom and all that remains are the perfect autumn colors that I love so much to appear!

Lady in the Lake

Yesterday my cousin and a friend of ours went into the..let's say wilderness and shot these wonderful photos of which I am very fond of. The place was so magical and quiet, that little lake feels frozen in time and I imagine all sorts of creatures down below whenever I see one. I took my summer hat, my recently cropped jeans and the pleated top I am so pleased with and it felt perfect.
Now I am off to spend quality times with friends.
