Neutral Winter

 

February is just around the corner, the last month of Winter so they say; the thought that one more month (make that a month and a half) of cold, heavy coats, boots and sweaters is killing me slowly. I miss Spring, I miss the flowers and the chilly evenings where I could walk around without freezing and dreaming of a hot tea to warm myself up. 

 On that note, it feels that a transitional season is up ahead and for me, that means neutral colors and neutral feelings. So, camel coats, beige boots, ochre skirts or grey bags will suffice. Gradually, I intend to add more color to the outfits, I started off with a dark purple this time, because well, plain neutral from head to toe is just boring. I couldn't go out without some accessories, I took out all my vintage Toledo gold jewels this time around - these did not came in a set, I searched for them individually for more than a year! I am still searching for a bracelet in this style, maybe 2017 will be my lucky year!

Soft greys with a splash of red

 

 I hope you are all having a great week so far; as you can see the weather outside is quite friendly with us despite of the cold, but sunny days give me a positive energy even though I don't have big plans to fulfill throughout the day, I am still pleased. 

Today am showing you an outfit that revolves around my new cardigan from BeYou. You might remember I collaborated with them in the past and this time they were kind enough to contact me again. 

I chose this particular cardigan because I felt it is elegant enough to wear it in formal wear, like at the office and such and it can also embelish a more casual outfit. You can wear it with pencil skirts, bodycon dresses, jeans and boots, with a belt around the waist or let it be free. I just love the assymetrical design and it may surprise you, but I loved the color as well. I just needed something grey in my wardrobe because it is a neutral color that pretty much goes with any other color - especially red tones!

Am ales acest cardigan pentru ca l-am simtit suficient de elegant pentru a tinute mai formale, cum ar fi cele de birou cat si pentru a scoate din anonimat o tinuta mai casual. Imi place designul asimetric, si ar putea sa va surprinda, dar mi-a placut si culoarea. Chiar simteam nevoia sa adaug in garderoba mea o piesa neutra care se poate combina cu orice alta culoare - mai ales nuantele de rosu!

On Victoria Avenue

I completely forgot about these photos I took during my few days in Bucharest. I was walking with a friend on Victoria Avenue, near the old Royal Palace, currently the National Museum of Art, a place so dear to me, probably one of my favorite from the city. It has so much history, this avenue, you cannot be amazed by the buildings while you walk it through. 

My feet were so stiff after such long walks, even though those boots do not have such a big heel, I don't want to see them again in the near future.. 

 Autumn is almost over even though I still step into dead leaves in great melancholy, I hear snow will come soon..oh..no..I'm not ready yet!

Neutrals and sparkles

 

 My trip went quite alright, ignoring the smelly miserable trains (that we almost missed), we saw the last Batman film - it was epic,not only..also emotional, go see it if you haven't already, we walked around the city but didn't take any pictures, I chose to travel lightly. There is always a next time! About the outfit - the photos were taken a few days ago but completely forgot about them, I was wearing something casual..something light but of course I had to add a bit of bling bling to pop out. 

I can't believe it's already August, which means that this month I am celebrating my blog's second anniversary! So excited!

A touch of rust

Too much gray is giving me depression and I chose my fresh new boots for a drop of color and a - maybe too matchy-matchy bag - to go with them them, but they are perfect together, wouldn't you say? And just for once, I am matching the wall behind me too.
It's been quite a relaxed day at University and even though a lot of work awaits me, I still don't have the power to arrange all the pieces together for a perfect result. Perhaps my cat is persuading me to procrastinate (I should stop blaming the poor creature).
What do you think of these photos? I really like my new lenses, if only I could find time and a free photographer to make photos somewhere where no walls and concrete exists!

P.S. The little bow from my shirt is made by my father to my mother a looong time ago, I have a bunch of them, they are so lovely!

I have painted myself with dead leaves

I guess this is my response at the sight of so many leaves on the ground, the colors simply resonate with me and they inspire me. The boots you are seeing in my feet are new, I bought them a few days ago, actually I have been craving for them for quite some time, so you can imagine my joy.

In the warm embrace of knitwear

I am so happy it's weekend again! Just so you know I dislike waking up in the dark at 7 AM when the cold season is around and go to courses half asleep. So this Saturday I'll probably read a book or maybe I will create something for myself, either way, I want to do something for my own pleasure.

In other news, I had the pleasure to be interviewed by Raluca Muresan, interview which you can see HERE. Unfortunately is in Romanian, but in big words I talk about my passion for blogging and fashion, my style, aspirations and plans for the near future.
