Summer layers

july look3

Already half of Summer has gone by and I am still looking forward to my vacation (soon, very soon!) and I don't know about you, but I feel that apart from eating ice cream and cursing the heat, I haven't done much this Summer. I didn't even get a change to swim or buy a new maxi dress!
Oh well, there is still time I guess; struggling between two jobs with a sick cat does not give me much time for anything lately, one of the reasons of my MIA, actually.

I hope you are spending this season far more better than I am!

Urban Western Style

urban country5

I may be wrong, but this outfit reminded me of the classic American cowboy/country style, even though that was not my intention when I started to dress up, but hey, for a transition outfit when the weather is neither cold, nor warm, I am happy with it!
And if you are wondering how I added 10 inches in length to my hair, the answer is: hair extensions! A ponytail to be more precise, courtesy of Irresistible Me, I didn't get to wear it very often because  my hair color changed to various shades of red in time, but now it pretty much matches the color of this extension, so I think I am going to wear it more often now; we shall see.

How do you guys feel about hair extensions?

Layers of knits

knit layers3

One day is snowing, another day it feels like an early Spring, the weather seems confused and so do we. This past weekend we experienced a very warm and nice time, so there was no need for a heavy coat, bur rather a cozy cardigan over a light jumper and it felt very comfortable and just right, even during the evening when it got a bit more colder.
Knits are the best thing you can wear during a transitional season, they really keep you warmer than 5 layers of cotton sweatshirts, there is something about natural wool that preserves the body temperature, don't you think so?
This was my outfit for the weekend, I chose to wear some of my favorite knitwear in contrasting colors, just what I needed for a colorful relaxed Sunday afternoon.

 Happy Monday!

The cardigan dress

cardigan dress4

Can you believe it it's already June? That means half of 2016 is already gone and Summer is here! Minus the occasional rains, but you know how it is.
It's time to plan vacations, time to wear light clothes and take out those sandals you bought in mid March (like I did) and indulge in at least three ice creams per day!
I was excited to take out these sandals from Zara, but let's get this straight: they are incredibly beautiful and of course, that comes with a price: the level of comfort wearing them goes down to almost zero. I knew that before buying them, but I didn't care. Beautiful things can be painful.

To the cardigan, I took it thinking I can wear it for what it is: a cardigan. But I realized that it can also be turned into a casual Summer dress and don't worry, those are not my underwear, it's a pair of lace shorts - rest assured, I am not that bold  careless.

What do you think about this type of cardigan?

The Exotic Fortune Teller

exotic kimono3

I aaaam so excited for these photos and for this gorgeous velvet kimono type cardigan I scored recently. I feel it's a gem of a clothing, luxurious and sophisticated, so it deserves a proper photo shoot and where else than the luxurious botanical garden? I thought that a scenery which involves a jungle will fit perfectly and I am so pleased with the results! I wish we could have more time to hang around there, but it was sooo hot and filled with toursists, I guess I should've done this in the cold season.
Next time I am going to make an article with ways to style this type of cardigan, we shall see.

I hope you like these photos for now, let me know your thoughts!

A casual romantic

green palazzo pants

I figure this is the last time I am wearing these green wide/palazzo/flare - whatever you wish to call them - pants; because Spring is coming up and I really can't stand wearing heavy clothing anymore, such as wool, tartan, tweed. So I thought of another way to style these pants, pairing them this time with a blushing pink in a more romantic kind of outfit. I would've preferred to wear some dress shoes, but it was too early in the morning and hence too cold for that; I'd rather keep my legs warm, I got comfortable, what can I do?

I hope you will have a great start of the week guys!

Floral cardigan

Goodness, the weather was so cold this weekend! Don't mind the Sun, he was there as a decor object, but the temperatures were ridiculously low.
Since my coats are cuddled back in my closet, I take out my warmest cardigans, this one from Sheinside is one of them. I wore it last year like crazy and I can't get enough of it, one of those clothing items you never get bored of, you know?
Also, perhaps you noticed that my hair is longer, that is all thanks to the Irresistible Me hair extensions I received about a year ago. I haven't worn them much mainly because my hair color changed from that bright red in time, and also because my hair is pretty thick as it is and well, we all know that hair extensions work best for thinner hair, however, if I curl them, they are just perfect. Or if I wear them in braids or ponytails. I wanted to play a little for once and I really did feel pretty and different that day in a small, subtle way!

Alright, let's get through this Monday with a positive mood.
Have a great start of the week guys!

Let's turn to pinks

29 1

Not wearing the colors of the year, but close enough right? I mean my cardigan is in a rather dirty pink shade than a pastel pink, but I prefer it like this anyway.
This is quite a shift from my previous outfit, where I wore dark grey shades with just a hint of color, but this time I turned to girlie colors, perhaps I was in a good mood that day.
Strangely enough, it's Monday today and I am not in my usual grumpy "I hate Mondays forever and ever" mood, maybe because I know I'll have two days off from my job after and that's what excites me and keeps me going. I have a, hopefully, lovely dinner planned on Tuesday and ballet show the next day, so yes, with that in mind, I'll start the week positively!

Have a joyful week guys!
