Colorful outfits on rainy days

 It's been pouring rain for the last two days, so it was a bit difficult to go out and about and take pictures, but at least the sun wasn't shining too bright to ruin both my mood and my photos. It was quite cold outside for this time of the year, but I stubbornly wanted to feel it was still Summer, so a tank top and a silky skirt were my choices for that particularly rainy day (I still had a blazer, don't worry).
This weather gives me a lazy mood, so my idea of spending my free time right now is to read a bitter book and to watch all sorts of fantasy and gothic series on my comfy couch - think of Penny Dreadful and Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell - check them out, they're quite good. These are my occupations until Summer begins again - hope it won't be too long now.

Summer in the city

 

 Seems lately I can't get enough of dresses, especially colorful ones, and why should I since it's Summer and so hot that I can't stand wearing anything else. I like to feel as comfortable as possible during this season and I also like to wear the right dosage of color - which means all of them at once! 

So, this was me, a lovely rainbow on a Saturday afternoon, walking around the city with no concern whatsoever. It's not always I feel as carefree as nowadays.

Stand out in this monochrome Winter.

 We all know how Winter can be, cold, empty, grey and sad sometimes. Especially when the snow is starting to melt and all you see is dirt. Seeing all this, I get tired of monochrome shades, people dressed in black and white and I need color as much as I need water.
 After I saw this coat, the very last one in store, I began to wonder how well will it fit my wardrobe. The shade of red is just delicious, the cut is simple and easy-going and the fabric is soft and light. So people, a little dosage of color doesn't hurt.
Now, I couldn't just let it stand out on it's own, naturally I had to add a contrast to go along beautifully.
Obviously, a color freak will never rest.

Raspberry and cream

 

 This sweater has such a delicious color, I instantly thought of raspberries when I saw it and come to think of it..now I am dying to eat some.. great.

 The weather is quite awful, rain and such, and I am feeling slightly melancholic, I've been listening to Liszt for the past hour, and picturing myself wearing awesome dresses I found during this season's Fashion Week. I think I'll make a "top ten collections" or something quite soon..

Slow and steady..

 

 Looks like it's time for sweaters and jackets, at least here it is. I am quite excited for Autumn, right now gazing out the window, seeing clouds and a cold wind blowing powerfully through the trees, makes me feel warm inside and lazy. So I will enjoy the rest of my afternoon watching Boardwalk Empire, listening to the music that used to excite me in highschool and catch up with other blogs. Oh yes, sounds good! 

Aaaaand, what do you think of my bag? It has become my favorite and I will try not to wear it too often, otherwise Boredom will take it away from me. And oh yes, the shoes, which I kindly stole from my mother for these pictures, they are so adorable and thrifted! Yes, they are! She has much more luck when it comes to footwear than I do. Fortunately...we have the same size.. (Muahahahaha!)
