Colorful in a grey season

 Boy, I hate this transition season that happens every November and February. I mean..with no snow, there is just this grey looking city, humid, dirty, cloudy and sad. I at least hope for some sun, but no, that rarely happens during this time of the year.
 So, I refuse to wear grey or black clothes and I love to spice things up a bit by wearing some bold contrasts. It really lightens my mood, have you ever tried it? Trust me, it works!
 And how great it is that Friday is finally here! I'm up for a relaxing weekend, I'm going to read some of the books from my infinite long list and spend time with my folks, just all I need right now.

Grey layers

 

 How's the weekend going? We are having quite a grey one, it's foggy and cloudy and I seem to dress accordingly without intention though. I recently got this woolen vest because I thought it had such a nice design and it also keep me very warm, despite the cold outside. You can create all sorts of outfits, it's quite versatile. You can wear it with mini skirts, pencil skirts, jeans, culottes, flare pants, sweaters or shirts, it's so fun! Of course, I thought that my new necklace from Happiness Boutique would fit perfectly in this outfit, wouldn't you say?

 Got to go now guys, I have errands to do, on a Sunday, yes..

In between holidays

 

 Christmas came and went as fast as a thought and left us with our bellies full and our mind at peace, I hope. For me, Christmas is my favorite part of the year and I really am sorry I did not got to see any snow, the lack of it makes my holiday spirit less magical. But presents were given, friends and families were around and the joy was still there. I hope you all had a wonderful time this Christmas and let us hope for the best in 2015 ! A few more days and the year ends, I really can't believe it..

This is what I wore on the second day of Christmas while I was visiting my relatives somewhere near the mountains. It seems I am still struck with a grey/red/black color mix; what can you do? You use a certain obsession until you exhaust it and move on to the next one when the time comes, isn't that right?

 I don't know about you but I get excited when I wake up, look through the window and see the fog embracing the city, especially the thick one where you feel that you are in the clouds if you live on the 7th floor, like I do. It makes me feel both cozy and chilly at the same time, if that's possible.

 I wish the fog was even thicker on the ground, but even so, I love the photos - it's been an old wish of mine to shoot photos in this type of weather. And today the sky couldn't be more cleared and it feels like a very early Spring - what? It's true though.. 

That day I wanted to wear something both girlie and edgy at the same time. So I thought a mini fluffy skirt and a pair of rock-ish boots will do the trick. What do you say? 

Well now, I need to finish my tea and I'm off to eat some junk food, then to see the last instalment of The Hobbit series! Couldn't be more excited!

Happy Weekend guys!

Soft greys with a splash of red

 

 I hope you are all having a great week so far; as you can see the weather outside is quite friendly with us despite of the cold, but sunny days give me a positive energy even though I don't have big plans to fulfill throughout the day, I am still pleased. 

Today am showing you an outfit that revolves around my new cardigan from BeYou. You might remember I collaborated with them in the past and this time they were kind enough to contact me again. 

I chose this particular cardigan because I felt it is elegant enough to wear it in formal wear, like at the office and such and it can also embelish a more casual outfit. You can wear it with pencil skirts, bodycon dresses, jeans and boots, with a belt around the waist or let it be free. I just love the assymetrical design and it may surprise you, but I loved the color as well. I just needed something grey in my wardrobe because it is a neutral color that pretty much goes with any other color - especially red tones!

Imi place designul asimetric, si ar putea sa va surprinda, dar mi-a placut si culoarea. Chiar simteam nevoia sa adaug in garderoba mea o piesa neutra care se poate combina cu orice alta culoare - mai ales nuantele de rosu!

November

 

 Another week has past and another month came, and how fast I might add! 

I dare say I have become a bit lazy. I was thinking of posting more often but other things just got in the way, then Halloween came and I had to party with witches, Jokers and other dreadful creatures downtown. Saturday I had to take time and recover from the night before (not that I am much of party girl, but from time to time it is necessary - yes, I said "necessary") and only then I was able to make these photos. On Sunday I wasn't much at home to post them, so here I am Monday at noon, wishing you all a very wonderful week ahead and at the same time wishing myself to get up and do some errands before my work starts. Oh..the necessities of life. Sometimes I so desire a butler and a maid. Speaking of which, I must see the new episode from Downton Abbey! I guess my errands will have to wait...

Simple casual and slightly boring

Let me explain the title. As you can see this is not my usual kind outfit, no heels, no bling bling, not much femininity. I found myself sometimes okay dressed like this, but the soon I see myself in photos, I feel so boring, after all I just blend in with others and I don't really like that. But I had to walk a lot that day and I thought eh, let's shoot some photos. I am not sure why I posted them though..

 What are your thoughts about plain casual outfits? Sometimes I just have this urge of throwing away all my pants and plain tops and buy only dresses and crazy printed stuff. Maybe I should do that. Rethink my wardrobe.

 In other news...I have to pack, I am heading home for a few days, in the middle of Winter part three..oh boy.
