Raspberry and cream

e7 3

Ok, so it seems I am starting to take a fancy on pastel pink colors, but not just plain in simple. I have to mix it with some purple or pastel greens, and maybe even baby blue, and it seems I am creating outfits suited more for the Spring season rather for a cold Autumn. But who cares nowadays, we have enough time to wear rusty colors and dark shades until March.
I don't know what hit me, I just saw this cardigan and I thought it was delicious. All fluffy and pink like that, it reminded me of cotton candy. And it really is very warm, better than a jacket!

I hope this past week has been good to you. I simply worked and bought too many cosmetic products - it's turning into some kind of obsession recently and that is not good. I've spent my time doing research on them and on some books too. Started to watch "Fargo", "Penny Dreadful" and my usual TV shows and I am feeling sleepy lately, so coffee is my new friend this season.
Life is good. And with my new pink cardigan it is even better!

 Happy Monday!

Wearing soft pastels just in time for Valentine's

87

Let's get this right out on the table: Valentine's Day has never been my thing. I've been in relationships in the past and we never really celebrated this day as if it were a big deal. Also, I am not certain we'll make anything this year as well. But, it's fun to play around with the idea of "what can you do on such a day (or any other as I might add) with your loved one ? " Let's just say that there are lots of options, like a fancy dinner or a special wild night and so on.
I didn't create this outfit as a suggestion for "what to wear on Valentine's Day" but it occured to me that it could be a great option. A floral romantic dress, with or without the scarf, some sexy boots and velvet gloves for a touch of sophistication, pastel feminine colors for a more vintage-good-girl look and there you go. I don't know about you but it is very much in my taste.

If you do celebrate this day, well, then I wish you a very Happy Valentine's Day!

 See you soon!

Hidden treasures.

camp8 8

We start this week with a fresh new post and hopefully it will turn your Monday into a more pleasant one, because we all know how much we "enjoy" Mondays..

No, I haven't found a hidden treasure (although that would be nice), we do not live in a pirate story the last time I checked, but I did find a cool garden that belongs to a huge mansion somewhere in this little town. I wish I could've taken more photos of the house but it was fully covered in plants of all sorts, but you can get an idea of how big it is from one of the pictures below. I wouldn't mind one bit to be able to live there.
What caught my attention was the lovely garden from the main entrance and I wished I could've stopped time, enter the place and explore it as much as I could, and of course take more photos!
Yes, yes, my obsession with gardens and flowers, that will never change, I'm afraid.

And how about my cute, feminine blouse? I searched since forever an off-the-shoulder top like this and as I read on the tag, I found out this was some kind of a dress for children between ages 10-12 ?! Oh well, it fits me just fine as well!

 Have a wonderful week, people!

Reflections

se0

This was one of those days where I felt the need to wear only basic pieces and no heels. My sophistication meter stopped at the hairdo and perhaps the earrings - which I adore so much and I have another pair in the exact same model but different colors. So I threw on a simple men's shirt (and no, it is not my boyfriend's) I found in a thrift shop, a pair of simple pants, some colorful earrings, just enough not to make the outfit entirely boring and that's it!

In the meantime, I graduated, I had my prom or ball as you like to call it, and basically this means that I am no longer a student! Welcome to adulthood, I suppose.

Pijama shirts - or not?

wqe5

I received this blouse not long ago from Sheinside and this is not the first time I am wearing it, but it is the first time it appears on this blog. When I had to choose from a lot of other blouses I was reluctant at first because I am not one to have a passion for teeny-tiny prints such as these. Dots, flowers, hearts, stripes, whatever, not a fan, they made me think of pijamas. Instead if you show me huge beautiful prints (preferably in crazy colors) on..anything, then you win me forever. The fact is, I don't know exactly what made me choose this blouse, perhaps the color, this minty green I will always adore, and the bow on the neckline, so feminine and elegant, I have a thing for those. I am happy with it, this is one of those exceptions I gladly accept, ha! And I am quite stubborn.
Worn with neutral or pastel pieces and it fits perfectly. Red will do too, but not very bright ok?
And I got to wear my new shoes I adore so much! It was one of those wonderful days when you find something beautiful (like...from ASOS) in an outlet store at a price so ridiculously low that just simply screamed: "BUY US! YOUR FEET WILL NEVER BE HAPPY AGAIN IF YOU DON'T TAKE US HOME!"
So yes, I suppose that would've been true.

To be elegant in forests..

sf06

I know, it's completely natural to look elegant or chic when walking in forests (at least I had some pavement!). Theese woods are at the edge of our town and it's not like they are deserted, cars run by often and people walk around there all the time. So this time, as a person who loves contrasts as you know, I though to be a good idea to take some photos in a different location than the city. And I love the eerie feeling I get when I look at the grey background, if there were at least a bit of snow, then it would have been like a fairyland...Or "fairyforest"? That would do too.
One more day until the year will end like a whisper and another one will come, and we grow older (and hopefully wiser) and... I'm not going to go the "depressed pathline" now, so I will stop.
How was your year? Mine was mostly relaxed with some fun moments here and there, with some hard decisions I had to make - but all for the best! There were some fun projects for this blog as well, and oh yes, this year I got a job! Woohoo!
I am not going to tell you how I would like to be in 2014, because most of the time I never stick to that plan, I forget and prefer to do other things than improve myself; but you lovely people, should not do as I do (said the wise owl..)
